Michael Domeyko Rowland
Michael Domeyko Rowland is Australia’s leading Self-Development author and presenter, and meditation teacher. He lectures in the U.K. the U.S., New Zealand and Australia.
His seminars and courses have been attended by over 220,000 people. His book, ‘Absolute Happiness’ is a national best seller (Over 100,000 copies sold).
He wrote, acted in and directed ‘Being in Heaven’ a dramatised documentary film released in all mainland capital cities by Palace Cinemas. It was invited to the Singapore Film Festival and was distributed worldwide by the Spiritual Cinema Circle Company.
Michael is also well known for his work with teenagers. Due to a desire, in some teens to fulfil their potentials, he invites them to attend his courses for free and over 8,700 have attended so far.
He consulted with Princess Diana, who revealed a great interest in self-development. Naomi Watts attended his initial seminars and says they were the pivot point for her commencing her acting career.
He also occasionally joins overseas best selling authors on seminar tours around Australia. He has toured with Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay, Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer and James Redfield, (‘Celestine Prophecy’), who are the U.S. leaders in personal growth. These sell out tours were attended by over 40,000 people.
Prior to commencing his seminar work twenty years ago, Michael began his career in the Australian film and television industry. He worked as an assistant director on ‘Age of Consent’ with James Mason and Helen Mirren (her first film) ‘Wake in Fright’, with Donald Pleasance, as well as Don Quixote with Rudolph Nureyev and Robert Helpmann.
In 1988 he left the industry to research the mind and consciousness. He has toured England, the Amazon jungle, and the U.S.A. interviewing twenty of the top transpersonal psychiatrists, psychologists, physicists and biologists for a documentary video series.
The first one ‘Ecstatic States’, has already been released, featuring Ram Dass (Dr. Richard Alpert). He has also directed and presents a 12 part video series on personality and relationships, called the ‘Psychology of Selves’, again interviewing the leading authorities in the field from the U.S.A., Dr Hal Stone and Dr. Sidra L. Stone, which is used by Universities, professional psychologists, as well as members of the public.
Michael lives with his wife, Paulina Domeyko, and their son and daughter, in the U.K. and Australia. Michael has taken his wife’s name into his own.
